The story

How this happened

I was running a business with a steady stream of vendors to onboard and people to hire, which in practice meant documents. NDAs for new hires, agreements for vendors, onboarding forms, most of them sent at eleven at night.

My team used the proper tools for it: DocuSign, PandaDoc, Adobe Acrobat Sign, Dropbox Sign, SignNow. All excellent. All built for companies with a procurement department, and all priced like it. One night, approving another renewal for the privilege of emailing a PDF, the obvious question finally landed: why does this cost so much?

I know. Founder stories are supposed to start with something better than an invoice. Mine started with an invoice.

But product design and architecture are the parts I am fast at, so I stopped renewing and built the one I wanted to buy. The first working version took a week.

It has been getting better on whatever nights I have time since. I use it myself on weekends, and I have handed it to enough people I know that it may as well be here for everyone else.

Most of it is free, because this was never a business plan. It is a product that refused to leave me alone until I shipped it.
